Avlonari is a town, designated as a traditional residential village, seat of the District of Kymi-Aliveri Municipality, located 10 km beyond the Mourteri, which is the largest continuous beach of Evia and the small bays Kalamos, Korasida, Kalami. It is built on a low hill, surrounded by two small rivers of rich vegetation, mainly of plane trees.The settlement is not suitable for tourism, no tourist services are provided, in practice it is a place of exclusive residence. Dimitrios, dating from the 11th century, built on the ruins of an ancient temple of Artemis.
